Delilah has escaped a few times... especially when she was a puppy. She was so small that she could fit in between the gate. We found her, obviously. She was running the neighborhood.
She hasn't gotten out in a long time. When we take her places and get home, we usually let her out of the car without a leash on and she is pretty good about coming in the house. This one time, she went running the other way. I jumped into the car and drove up by her and honked the horn. Then I yelled out the window "want to go for a ride in the car" and she jumped in without hesitation. We live in the country though... with only a few houses around.
