You may want to try cutting the feeding time down even earlier too. I feed my munchkin a little at 6am and a full meal at 4:30PM when I get home from work. After that, no more food. He hasn't once poo'd in his cage at night or while at work. He only did one time on the weekend when he got into my dogs food and it upset his tummy.

Glad the 2am thing worked for you! You may want to try buying a bit of that fake grass for your gravel area if you don't want the puppy on the grass in your garden.
