What made you decide to buy a Yorkie: I have NEVER had a dog. Since we moved to Johnson City, I've made very few friends and have been lonely. I thought about getting a dog, and begged and begged....

My husband has always wanted a yorkie - my uncle has one and he was sold. (He had a wire-haired terrier as a child, Rosie, his favorite childhood pet.) Anyway, Eli said YES and we got Sully.

Have/do you have any other pets: Penny Lane, my 3yr old Himalayan cat, and "Tom & Jerry", our 2 goldfish.

What are your hobbies?: I love writing, for fun - talking....storytelling, playing with Sully. I teach swimming lessons to children (have for 5 years now). I love web design and graphics, though I'm new at this photoshop stuff. I also have a small on-the-side wedding photography business. I love taking photos! I take pride in writing fun-to-read, creative blogs on my website.

Are you married/engaged/dating/single?: Newlywed! (Eli & I married in February 2004). 13 months is still newlywed, isn't it?

Does your significant other love Yorkies as much as you?:

Yes, he is the one that insisted that we get a yorkie in the 1st place....and then I turned into the fanatic, LOL!

Sully is our pride and joy!

Do you have any children? My pets are my children! We want kids, but think we will wait about 5 years to start a family - so Eli can finish school and we can save up some money, get established with a job, etc.

(My husband is the oldest of 7 kids! He's in no hurry, but does have a great sense of family and looks forward to having his own one day.)

Anything else interesting that will help us to get to know you better?:
- I hate living in Johnson City!

- But I do like my job

- I'm a newswriter for the Johnson City Press. It's my 1st job out of college (real job).
- I met my husband waiting tables at Dixie Stampede, a dinner theater owned by Dolly Parton in Gatlinburg, TN.
- My husband and I were married on the beach on Sullivan's Island, SC.
- I graduated college with a degree in Mass Communication (Advertising/Public Relations/Journalism) from Carson-Newman College in December of 2003.)
- My husband and I were both born in 1981.
