I don't know how you do it either. I took a Dachshund from a friend of a family friend who was not being cared for properly but not NEARLY as neglected as pups like Summer. I took care of him as much as I could and then brought him to a rescue where he's now in a foster home, but I cried like a baby when I left him there!! And this dog was going to a good place, a good home, but I felt sooo terrible that his owner did not even care to say goodbye and I cared more about this pup that I had known for ONE day over this guy who had him for 5 years! So yeah I don't know how people do rescue day in and day out, I think I'd be emotionally drained every day. |
