I was taking Bailey out early one morning around the back alley of our neighborhood. We live in a gated community and a portion of the garages share an alley way. When we take a quick "morning relief", we don't use a leash. He stays close by so it's been fine.
Bailey wanders down the alley a ways and I motion for him to come on back. He loves to take off running full speed towards me. When Bailey got near me, a Hawk, who had been eyeing Bailey for breakfast, realized I was there and flew out of the tree squawking madly. It scared the daylights out of me thinking Bailey could have been that Hawk's meal had he not come back to me when I called.
We keep a sharp watch now up in the trees when he's off the leash!!!!!!!!! |
