I agree, you are giving him lots of love and attention on bad days, not ignoring him!
some days are just more active than others! That does not make you a bad mommy at all. Most of my quality time with my pups is snuggle time. They run around the back yard 4-5 times a day for awhile but mostly when they are with me they just snuggle.
