I think most of us have days where we just aren't able to give the attention to our pups that we would like to. Be it illness, housework, yard work, work work, family/kid activities....there's always something that takes our time & attention. Somedays basic needs are all there is time for. I try to make up for those times by doing extra stuff when I can....go for a walk, play in yard, throw a ball in the house, play tug on the floor, or just snuggle on the couch.
Don't kick yourself. As much as we'd like to be available to our pups 24/7....it's just not feasible for most of us, so we do the best we can, when we can.
