True seizures do not stop when you pick up or reposition an animal or person having them. From this description, it makes me suspicious of whether the pup was truly having seizures. I have to agree with others here who have recommended a neurologist. Something I would add is to videotape these episodes, including any interventions you make (picking him up, etc) so that the docs can get a more complete picture of what is happening.
