I would cut out that wet food! Try feeding dollar a really good quality hard kibble. It will help with the weight and with keeping his teeth clean. I use Natural Balance kibble and I LOVE it for Chewy. I mix it up and give him some of their canned food or some meat roll a couple of times a week.
There are many really good brands like Innova, Canidae, NB...I would look for food without ANY corn or meat byproducts.
