. And you certainly seem like a mature, experienced dog owner who knows what to look for in a true emergency and act accordingly. .
Personally, I don't have a lot of confidence in the emergency vet service in my community. I am extra lucky because my regular vet practice has a vet on duty 24/7/365. So in case of a true emergency, I get to see one of the regular vets in the practice that knows my dogs and what is normal for them.
