Also I've been told (but not sure of the truth) that you can't be sure where the leather came from, e.g., leather from old car seats. It is also true that formaldahye may have been used in the processing of some of the leathers - which could be very bad for dog. I suspect however, that the main danger is the rawhide getting stuck in the intestines - especially in our small little babies.
