While I've been recovering from surgery, Tealie is Head Nurse Yorkie and pillow guard. Every time I get up she makes a mad dash for my down pillow and keeps it warm for me. Of course she somewhat resents having to give it up when I need to lay down and rest. |
My Jilly used to be the champion keep-mommie's-spot-warmer. The moment my bottom raised from the surface I'd been on, Jilly was in it, curled into a ball, where she stayed until I returned.
I guess my favorite thing to do with Tibbe right now is snuggle with him on the couch reading or watching TV - just hanging out and being peaceful. He usually gets right on the end of the big couch pillow facing the TV and if I am lying on that pillow, he positions himself with his tiny butt right in my face! Just after he settles down and adjusts himself, he will turn around and look at me with his ears cloched back against his head as if to say, "Isn't this great?" and seems to wait for me to smile back at him or kiss him. He wants an overt response. And then he lets out the biggest sigh you ever heard. We spend many an hour like that these days. Things don't get much better than that.
