I don't know this breeder; however, I purchased mine from a show breeder. What she told you sounds like what I have been told about show breeders. They breed for the betterment of the breed and their line - they are not breeding puppies to make money. The pups in the litter are usually kept longer than other breeders bc they want to determine show quality. The ones that better their line and breed, they keep themselves for show. The ones that have more obvious breed standard "faults" are found "pet homes". They are lovely dogs, just not the right bite or topline or size or coloring - along those lines. My Gidget's coloring did not develop for show and my Sidney is too small.
Probably someone else on here knows that breeder. I did notice she had some nice lines in her pedigrees - Durrer, Nealstar, and Rothby. |
