I don't think the sex of the pup is an issue - it's how you raise him/her and train them. I have one of each and they are both awesome and have their own personalities. The male will bark like crazy in the morning when he has to potty and the girl stays quiet - he also barks when he wants a bone from her but other than that, they're quiet as can be! They both know the same tricks but the girl can be a little more stubborn - she will do them for sure if you have a treat for her, but if not, she knows she gets nothing so she only does it if she wants, haha!
