I started teaching Esme 'dead dog' yesterday. I was so inspired by Sully!
Anyhow, Esme already knows sit, and down. So, I take her from the sit position, to down and then hold a treat in front of her nose and kind of turn it so she rolls on her back to get it... I am hoping you can picture this... And as I am doing it I say 'Dead dog.' I am hoping to add the BANG later, once she has it down. So far, it's pretty good... I tried saying BANG yesterday, and she ran out of the kitchen (where we were practicing) and into the living room. After a moment she came back and looked at me like "Why in the world did you do that???"
