Yorkietalk has so many threads on this, and we always have a few dogs after Thanksgiving that get acute pancreatitis. Your mom is doing a great disservice to your dog, and maybe if you tell her it takes a minimum of $1000.00 to treat, then they have to be put on a highly restricted diet possibly for the rest of their lives. Really a dog doesn’t really understand the difference between pumpkin pie and a bit of canned pumpkin, they don’t have taste buds like humans, and their taste comes from their noses, so you can “spoil” you dogs and keep them healthy as well.
