My Gabby just had Liver Shunt surgery on the 26th and is doing well. The best thing you can do is educate yourself. Google- Liver Shunt and read as much as you can. There are different types and treatment will depend on the type. Yorkies are prone to this and have been treated successfully with diet and medication as well as surgery.
