A short term trial of prednisone might stop this itching. Once they start, it is hard to stop them. The more you scratch something the more it itches...we know that and stop scratching...but you cannot explain that to an animal. My guess this is why he wants to use it. It does not kill!!! You cannot compare what happened to another pet that was really ill. I have used prednisone on my pups over the years for itching and it did stop it! |
