If you just want colored nails use dog nail polish.

I've used them.

They were originally to cover split nails-cut into quick by vets etc.

Scoobers has severe issues he has to be semi sedated to have his nails done
Scoobers had to be really worked with to stay down.

Anyways I've actually used them (not to protect hardwood floors or leather furniture-gee why no declaw your dog-that's lame IMHO) to protect the kids but he never jumped on them instead he ate three nail covers and thankfully passed then just fine.

Honestly they never fit right it was annoying I wasn't going to use the glue.

Anyways they are junk plastic wastes of money to me.

Edit: In the case of the poster above I see why they are necessicary.
