Just as a testament to how small a fall can be and still cause serious damage.

My daughter (now 13) stepped back off of a 4 inch step not realizing it was there when she was just 1 and not walking long. We were in front of our church talking to the pastor when it happened. She didn't fall just stepped back off the step and not realizing it was there she went down wrong and cried. I knew right away by the sound of her cry that it wasn't the normal cry and almost immediately I knew something was wrong. I said I think she must have broken something and the pastor says "oh no, I think you are over reacting a little, there is no way she broke something from that little step" Well she wasn't crying anymore but we left and took her to the ER and sure enough she had a stress fracture in her leg near her ankle. The pastor couldn't believe it after such a small thing but imagine if we hadn't taken her in!
