I second this warning about parvo. I don't know the background of your other pets, but if you have had a puppy with parvo in your house, do not bring any other puppies or un-vaccinated adults into your home for at least 6 months. No matter how much you clean, bleach and scrub, missing only one or two of those virus cells could still infect another dog. Parvo can live up to 6 months or so in your home or yard. Lawns are especially difficult to sanitize - are you willing to put bleach on your entire yard? Before you bring home another dog, be sure it has a strong immunity to parvo. You can have a veterinarian draw blood and run a titre to find out how well your prospective dog will fare in a parvo-infected environment.

Again, I don't know the background, but did your dog with parvo come from this same breeder?

I unfortunately have first hand experience with parvo. We fostered a puppy that had come from a shelter in South Carolina who broke with parvo the day he arrived at our house. With early and aggressive treatment, he survived, and our own dogs were not infected, but it was a heart wrenching and expensive process nonetheless.
