No, I didn't want to stir the pot at all, just wondering why everyone was being so supportive here yet in other cases the poster seems to get a bunch of worried replies about the fact they are buying from a BYB.
I for one LOVE "shorkies" and "labradoodles" haha... so I understand wanting a mix and for them to be desirable Just wondering was all.
I think in this case, go for it. You already have a pup from her and your son knows what he wants! |
I for one replied and did not give an admonishment over getting a mixed breeder. If you are looking for a response from one of us who replied, I will give you one.
I have known Kendra on here for quite some time. She is a wonderful person. She already has a pup from this breeder that her daughter wanted, and if her son desires one like it that is really her business.
I have only owned purebred, AKC yorkies, but that is my preference. We also have others on this site who own mixed breeds, such as yorkiepoos.
If there is a new person, also new to this breed, who is asking an opinion of a breeder and it looks like a puppymill to me, I will voice it. However, getting all up in arms w someone who has a different opinion is not my style. Kendra owning a mixed breed takes nothing away from the person that she is, IMO.
