I'm anxious to see other answers to this thread - I was going to start a new housebreaking thread when I finished TEARING OUT MY HAIR!
We have clean pee pads in several places and have most rooms blocked off so, generally, I can see where Gracie is all the time. There are a couple of areas in the living/dining room that are not in my direct line of sight and woudn't you know, that's where she pees. She seems to be marking, not really emptying her bladder - she's just peeing a little. I'm also sure it's not UTI as she can go all day without doing it, but then the next day (that would be today!) I'm cleaning up spots every couple of hours. The vet and trainer both said that girls will mark - I think she's still trying to establish herself as the alpha dog or something like that. I use Nature's Miracle - I'm going through so much of it I might take stock out in the company!
Anyway, I think I'm going to tether her to me - starting tomorrow - I might kill her if I do it today! (No judgmental comments please - I'm kidding - I have a hard time even scolding her because she's so dang cute and looks at me like 'it wasnt me - it must have been that other invisible dog!') |
