Yes these guys are prone to allergies...we have dealt with it for years..until you can find out what's affecting him,its perfectly safe to use Benadryl. The usual dosage is 1 mg per lb of body weight. We use the childrens fast melt tabs wrapped in a pill pocket. Or you can take him to the vet and they can give him an injection of Benadryl or a corticosteroid. I would try to continue to play the investigator to see what may be aggravating her. That could take some time....look into food,shampoos/conditioner,floor cleaners,detergents ect.
