I noticed last night that Douglas's eye was red and watery. He had been playing in the sand with my son early in that evening, so i thought maybe he had some sand in it.

When I got home today from work I noticed it was redder and no better so I took him to the vet this evening, they did the green staining and found no scratching and gave me a handout on cherry eye.

They gave me some eye drops to give him every 8 hours for 7 days and he also has to go back on Wednesday and possibly on Sunday to recheck it. She was pretty worried about him, he also had green discharge coming out of the eye which she said is not good.

Anyone have any advice on this? I am really hoping it goes away with no problems!

The picture is not great and does not really show it well because he was not liking the bright lights.
