If you put up flyers do not put pictures on it.... the owner should be able to describe the dog in detail. I found a dog a few months back and posted posters with just the dogs descriptions. I reunited the dog and owner within 3 hours. She described the dog, said it's name, and described the collar in detail.
This will prevent someone trying to take the dog without proving they own it.
