The best way to ruin a good friendship is to let a friend live with you while they get their lives sorted out.
It is a fact, getting their life sorted could take years and you will eventually want your house or home back to yourself and you will not know how to tell them enough is enough and you want them out.
They will tell you they have no place to go and so it will go on and on.
What would I do - I would say sorry can't do that even if it is at the expense of our friendship.
