My first time mommy Jasmine had 6 puppies on Thursday. They seem to be doing well, but the smallest one is not gaining weight as much as the others. Jazzy also keeps carrying her around and trying to hide her. I've had to remove everything from the floor of my walk in closet so that she will stop trying to bury puppies! I am having such a hard time listening to the puppies scream when she picks them up and carries them around. Is this normal??? Should I be doing anything?? Someone suggested they might be cold and that's why she is burying them, so I bought a dog heating pad. She does carry the other ones around, but 90% of the time it's the littlest one, Diana. I have been making sure that Diana is nursing, but I'm worried. They are going to the vet tomorrow for their tails and dewclaws. Any ideas on what to ask the vet would be appreciated.
