My poor little Teddy had a problem with his eye this morning. I took him to the EC and there was a scratch on his cornea and his eye lid had a small tear. They gave him oral antibiotics and eye drops. He vomited about an hour later and I figured it was from the meds. (Baytril)
He did not eat today ... I thought he was upset about his eye. I went out for a couple of hours in the late afternoon and when I came home he had had bloody stools and looked really punky. Took him straight to the EC and he was mildy dehydrated. His blood work did not look really awful .... the vet thinks it could be just gastroenteritis with some bleeding...or HGE in the early stages. He will be there overnight for IVs and antibiotics.
Hoping he is ok tomorrow morning.
