The last step is to put a dampened (not wet) white cloth over the spot and tap with your foot and let it dry overnight. This draws the urine out of the pad/carpet onto the white cloth. I think the key is injecting the product into the pad and then letting it draw up into the white cloth/paper towel. Perhaps you could do this with Natures Miracle too - you would just need a syringe to inject into the carpet. He also recommends using a black light to find the urine stains if they are not visible.
