A situation like this just proves that doing your homework ahead of time in the event of emergencies is a must. I had to take Brutus to the ER vet, and had no idea where the nearest one was. I would recommend that all new puppy owners add the regular vet and ER vet in their quick dials and would even drive to the ER hospital so you know exactly where it is if you need to get there quick.
