I'd like to do this one, however im wondering if I should do puppy class at petsmart in december as well?
Has anyone done either type of class? Were they good? Did you have success? Teddy will be 5 months for the petsmart class and 6 months when the CGC class starts.
My next question is Wire or Plastic crate? Why?
Harness or collar?
Thanks!! |
My personal opinion is socialise, socialise as much as you possibly can - be it at class or just walking or nursery classes at the vets - just get him into as many situations as possible!
We've had wire crates with all our dogs - they're far easier to clean and you can make them as snug as you wish with a cover etc. We had a disaster with Harry with a plastic crate - Mr. Houdini decided he hated it - nibbled it and chewed his way out of it and met me one day at the front door

. He was only 4 months old aaargh!
And always a harness for walking (I personally use Choke Free) but he wears a collar also with his id tag on.
Brilliant fun isn't it, all this planning?!!?
