You've received some really good advice. I got my first credit card at Macy's the day after I turned 18 ha. Just don't get too caught up with department stores bc a year later I had a Victoria's Secret card, American Eagle, Gap and a bunch of other stores
My credit card I got through my bank 2 months after turning 18. It was a student card. I would highly suggest trying to get one of these. Who do you have your car insurance with? I used to work for State Farm and I know they have a Student credit card that's really good.
