If your pup is scratching and biting enough to require an e-collar, then he should be at the vet. That's not normal and it's important to figure out what the problem is. Just because he can't reach back there to bite doesn't mean it's not driving him crazy.. Also, sores? Are they healed? This is all part of a skin issue that needs to be evaluated by a vet.

If you are at all unsure about whether the sores are closed properly, then using any harsh shampoo could cause major issues. Besides that, flea shampoos are almost never recommended. They can be quite dangerous. I would not use Zodiac on my pups. Use a product that your vet sells (even if you don't buy it from them) like Frontline or Advantage, etc.
