Anyone have experience with this product? For the past month I'd noticed Tommy to be scratching and nipping at his back. it got to the point where he has sores.
I figured he was doing this out of anxiety. My friend and her dog lived with us for a short time. Her dog (currently takes) has anxiety issues that cause her to nip and scratch her paws and belly. I assumed since she was gone, that Tommy was just picking up what he noticed from her.
To keep him from doing so, I went and got him a cone collar about 2 weeks ago so that he can't reach back to scratch. Up until today, he was doing great! He wasn't scratching nearly as much and he couldn't reach back to bite himself.
Anyway, during our walk today, I noticed small bugs crawling around where the sores used to be. They looked like fruit flies but w/o wings. I tried to grab with my fingers, to no avail. I feel like a bad Mom for not thoroughly checking him sooner.
So I went to the pet store and got this brand of dog shampoo. I hope this stuff works!
