We swear by Nature's Miracle - Advanced. We just dump it on, let it soak and the soak it up with a towel. We have also used it on things Sophie has peed on and we have always had really good results with it.

It so good to know that I'm not the only one whose cat likes to pee everywhere except the litter box . But since Brandi uses potty pads, my cat now uses the potty pads to pee and the litter box to poop. She's going into kidney failure (She's 13 yrs old) so using the potty pads have been great for the both of them. They each have their own potty pads area that they use. I also use Nature's Miracle and I swear by it. I usually get the industrial size. It's expensive but a lot cheaper than replacing carpets or hardwood flooring. I usually use Nature's miracle and my hand carpet cleaner, that usually does the job.
