Nature's Miracle sold at pet stores works for us. You need something with an enzyme in it to take out the protein left in urine. The enzyme is a bacteria that actually eats the protein, and the protein is what causes the smell and the animal to return to the spot. However this takes time to work, and you have to let the spray dry naturally. It might take many treatments, and if the urine has saturated the pad, you might have to pull the carpet back, and replace the pad. Many products will take out the stain, you need something that removes all the protein, so that other dogs won’t be attracted to the spot.
