You kno, honestly sometimes I get carried away when it comes to military things. Its usually one of those things I avoid discussing bc I know I do that. DvlshAngel985, you are right. I am doing what I am saying not to do. I know not all shelters are like that. I volunteered at one as part of my internship. They were a high kill shelter. They absolutly denied ppl for being military and for other reasons I thought were absurd. I guess I should say why is it that some high kill shelter are so difficult to adopt from. Most rescues I have seen and been involved with put a lot of time and energy in the animals they rescue. It def is their call who they think deserves their animals. Although again, if denied for being military I think its wrong. But all other reasons I see perfectly reasonable. However, no two rescues are alike and no two shelters are alike. I agree fully with that. I've said my peace about military and pets and I will stand by that. But I def see your point and it is not my place to judge other shelters based on the one or two I'm talking about.
