You are not being silly at all. That swelling would have me over reacting and maybe getting a ticket for speeding. Like the time Gracie wouldn't open her eye. I was sure it was a scratched cornea,or retina detachment, and she was going to lose an eye, get a major infection and die, etc. When she had a tiny piece of leaf in her eye. The vet just rinsed her eye. I know most things are not life and death emergencies, but I have always acted that way with infants and Yorkies. If only they could talk, I might be sensible.
