I'm trying to create a video shooting app for smart phones that helps people take and share more videos and I need some input. Can you help?

My question is, with most smart phones having pretty nice video cameras attached to them, I'm trying to figure out, are people taking more videos? If not, why not?

I'll start first. I don't even take very many pictures. It seems like it has to be a special occasion just to whip out the camera to take a picture, so in my daily life, there doesn't seem to be enough occasions to snap a picture, much less shoot a video.

Also, it's so much effort to view a video after it's shot. Whereas a picture, I can see it without opening it up, with a video, I have to click on it to see what it's all about. It's also boring to watch a video that's not very good.

With that said, whenever I have taken video, like at the birthday weekend at a nice hotel with my hubby, I always wish I had taken more.
