We just switched to a glass top earlier this year (We live in Navy housing and they swapped out our stove) from a regular electirc stove. I still use all of the same pots and pans, some revereware, some corningware. I did have a big non-stick skillet that had a warpped bottom; it didn't work well on the glass top. The other thing about your pans is that the bottoms should be smooth as weel as flat. If they have any burrs on them it can scratch the glass top.
Hopefully you can get a copy of the owners manual for the stove/oven. I know there are certain cleaners that are ok and some that are not.
One last word of caution, the burners stay hot/warm for a little while after being turned off.
