People have expressed their displeasure and that is entirely different than what those people of the other group did. That group went beyond reacting strongly and trying to win. They used false statements and spoke disapprovingly of people saving yorkies....it was not "oh let's beat the yorkies and show them that cats rule". It was that yorkies are not worthy. That is how many read it. They said and I quote: "they cheated". That was after a statement that insinuated that we entered that contest under false pretenses. We did not "enter" anything...we received an email inviting us to participate. Parks picked us.
Did you see all of the posts on their members' facebook pages? They were honestly VERY inflammatory and I am quite proud of the YHR members and YT members for not responding at those people's level.
Let me further say that if a YHR member went on that page and said the things that those people did, there would have been a public apology from YHR. Yes, we would have reacted strongly. |
I have to agree as well. What they posted were false and inflammatory toward their competition ~YHR. It was an entire series of untruths from YHR. We are a large national rescue, cheating, we had been in first place since the beginning of the contest, we shouldn't have been allowed into the contest while claiming to have talked to Park employees, all which were in addition to the many posts there were removed from the FB wall of Park Chevy. It was a fun contest until all of this happened. I've personally worked by butt off on YT and FB reminding people to vote, sending emails,m harassing people to remember to vote and even making some new FB friends.
If YHR does not take 1st place it was not for lack of trying on many people who have worked so hard for each vote.
