I have 4 and I couldn't give any up. But Honestly for me, the perfect number was 2. Two is about the same as one walking, grooming, Vet bills etc.. After being a widow for over 10 years, I got married and he had 2 Yorkies. One of his passed away and one of mine passed away. We rescued 1 and took one for stud service. Now we are back to 4 Yorkies, LOL plus a big old Lab.
