I have also had a couple dogs and a baby horse cremated. They told me 10-14 days but in most cases it was a week or so. The Vet I uses sends them out on Tuesdays so sometimes it takes a couple day for the pet to even get to the cremation place. They come home in a little oak box with a plaqe with their name, birthday, and date of death, also a little poem. Our vet also sends a symothy card. I'm sure each place is different but 2 weeks sounds about right. Private cremation means you get only YOUR pets ashes.
