I dont think its a breed thing to yorkies. Ive done research and its common for ALL dogs. There are several causes of it, but one is that they just like the taste, which is gross. Sometimes its a dominance thing where the submissive dog eats the poo of the dominant one also. Again, gross. BUT it is an ALL dogs problem and it just depends on the dog you get. It is NOT specific to yorkies to my knowledge and i have read up about it quite a bit.
