Home cooking is not recommended for dogs under 1 year of age. You should use a puppy formula. I'd go with a small breed formula by Royal Canin or Science diet if it was my dog. Home cooking should be done for adult dogs under the guidance of a board certified veterinary nutritionist in my view. Good luck with your new puppy!
