My initial concern had been that it could be serious but apparently it can also be nothing. I was going to take her into the Vet the next morning. The really globy mucous etc. was in the evening and then a little bit of blood in her stool showed up just before bed. I got on the internet to see if I should immediately get in touch with the Vet and discovered that “one occurrence of hematochezia may be a minor and transient event. Repeated or persistent hematochezia is more serious and should not be ignored.” Since it had never happened before and there was only a small amount of blood and even though Lu wasn’t really eating and seemed like she didn’t feel well she didn’t seem dangerously ill, if that makes sense. I decided unless something changed and it became apparent her health was deteriorating I would wait until morning and call the Vet then. By the next morning all her symptoms had disappeared. No symptoms, not much to test or investigate unless it recurs.

I was worried last night maybe the same pattern was beginning and that the gagging and throwing up a little bit of bile might be Lu getting sick again but she ate and drank fine last night, played, went crazy (zoomies) and her bowels have been normal. This morning she still seems perfectly fine. If I thought it was something more serious or if the globy mucous or blood comes back I will certainly take Lu into the Vet but there isn’t much point right now.
That is why I thought I would ask if anyone else had experienced anything like this and what made me wonder if it could be stress related or some kind of late reaction to her vaccinations.
