Confused I'm confused too!

I am always confused when weights are stated as l point something pounds. They do it that way at our vets, too. Our scale weighs lbs and oz. (But only goes to 5#, so it is only for the puppies). When we got the puppies their second shots, I asked specifically, when the tech said "one point 6 lbs." whether she meant "point six" lbs. or "one pound, six oz". She looked at me like I was crazy to ask and said "Well, it is one pound, 6 oz." Like I should know that point six lbs was actually six oz.! So, at our vet, the scale is in pounds and ounces, just like our home scale. At least that makes it easier for us.
