Duckhorn Cabernet Sauvignon is my absolute favorite and Frog's Leap is good, as well.
Surprisingly enough, Illinois has quite the booming wine industry that I've only recently become aware of in recent years. My most favorite Illinois (and inexpensive) wine is August Hill's
Almond Infusion. I've actually never had an August Hill wine I didn't like, though.
Illinois Cellars also makes very drinkable wines, with my favorite being
Velvet Red.
