One thing of candy I got is a tub of dum dum suckers with a 1000 in it for $20. Now who cant afford that? I also got candy bars and mcdonald coupons. and some things from the $1 store for my trick or treaters. I just love halloween and I also love the giving that goes on in the neighborhood by the ones that do give candy. Alot of my neighbors that do give candy try to make up for the ones that dont by giving treat bags or even some give whole candy bars. One year a guy gave out $1 and$5 bills. We are in a downtown neighborhood too where there is some poorer people and middle income definitely no upper income. |
sad to say, there are people that are having such a difficult time they could not afford that. I see it at my school, in my neighborhood. I am blessed, I can - but I choose to buy the better candy and limit my "treats" to the younger children.
